Sometimes, the functional needs of family life can feel at odds with thoughtful design. Our job, however, is to bridge the gap. Project French Country Modern gave us the perfect opportunity to do so, as we furnished an entire home for a family of twelve. Color, pattern, and texture were key components of the design narrative, bringing distinct personality to this Austin abode.

A Spirited Family Home

Meeting the Needs of Family Life
Grounded in the belief that a space should never be too precious for kids to enjoy, we prioritized hardworking textiles and upholstery that can easily withstand daily wear. We wanted everyone to feel right at home, which meant strategic furnishing plans for ample seating and a natural flow from one space to the next.

A Case Study in Color
An unapologetic use of color became a defining characteristic of this project. From the cabinetry to wall coverings to a fully color-drenched den, we infused a vibrant palette and playful patterns to create moments of character and soul throughout the home.
